Meditations

To accompany both the sense of self journeying I do and Wide Open Spaces: A Journal for Parents of Neurodiverse Children, I have created some free meditations for us all to listen along to. Yep, I'm also listening, They're a good reminder to myself, in between my other Insight Timer firm favourites. I guess I've written and recorded the tools I have needed (and still need) along the way.

You can find them on Insight Timer, a totally free app with millions of meditations, relaxing or invigorating music tracks and breathwork exercises. Download it onto your phone and then search for Lou Fearn or click on the links provided in each of my meditation posts. Don't forget to bookmark me as a favourite teacher and then you'll easily be able to find all my tracks. And feel free to leave me feedback and reviews if you feel it's helped you.

I started meditating at the age of 16. Somewhere in between studying and partying, I spent several evenings a week at a Buddhist meditation class and a spiritual visualisation class. My goal back then was to be able to astrally project out of my body! I have a busy brain and as I've aged I'd say that meditation has become harder rather than easier. It's a practice, something to be practiced in good times and all sorts of times - ready for those times when you really need it.

Recently, after years of recording meditations for family and friends, I completed my meditation teacher training. My practise draws on everything I have learned as a parent of neurodiverse children, the NLP and hypnotherapy courses I've done and my love of storytelling as a healing narrative.

My meditations are very guided (suitable for beginners and hard days alike), leading you back to your self with a thoughtful, embodied approach.
