This is a meditation for anyone who knows they need to help themselves out, to apply some self-care but they don't know how to go about it. Where do you start?
Well, self care actually looks different for everyone and it looks different at different moments of each day too. So this is an embodied practice which means that you are gently guided to check in with your body so that by the end of the session, you can feel with body and heart what you, individually, need right know to soothe, balance or enliven you.
Sometimes we can get lost in our roles, in our work, in our desire to feel connected with others and lose ourselves. This can lead to discomfort, tiredness, sickness and eventually burnout. And we so easily make the mistake of listening to our brains instead of our bodies, but our brains can only second guess and get it wrong. They can choose something that only half fulfils us or is tidy and convenient for others around us.
This is a meditation that I created initially for me to keep me balanced! I've listened to it so many times that my body and I now have a shortened version of this that we go through many times a day. It's like a path that needs to be walked regularly to become well-trodden.
